Personalized Programs: We come to you! Your home, yard, and neighborhood are where most of your dog’s behavior issues occur. Therefore, it’s best to start your dog training in these locations. When needed, we can move on to more populated environments such as walking your dog calmly through town on a busy weekend afternoon!
We will effectively address any issue you may have including: aggression, housebreaking, jumping on visitors, separation anxiety, nuisance barking, getting into the garbage can, demanding attention or bothering family members and guests, fighting between dogs in the same home, separation anxiety, walking on leash, and much more.
Expensive “boot camps” or sleep away training are not effective in my opinion because your dog needs to respect and listen to YOU in YOUR HOME, not a trainer at some facility. Besides, wouldn’t you rather be a part of shaping your dog’s behavior to the way you want it to be? We develop a personalized one-on-one program for you and your family based on your dog’s particular personality and perspective, and your goals.
Positive Dog Training: No shock collars, choke collars, pinning, intimidation or clickers. Unlike some trainers, we never use harsh techniques or bribe with food to extort good dog behavior.
Results: For most of our clients, by the end of our first session, you will have a completely different dog. Transformations can be incredible.
Speak Dog: Rather than teach your dog English, we will teach you to communicate using the language your dog already understands. You will learn how to use your body language and voice tones to get your dog to focus on you and respond to your directions. It’s really amazing for both you and your dog when you can finally understand what each other wants.
New Adoption: Adoption has been at an all-time high, which is great! Our goal is help these newly adopted dogs stay in their forever homes! We have helped countless families welcome their newly adopted puppy or adult dog into their home. Not all dogs, unfortunately, have had the best experiences before you adopt them. We will help your new canine family member adjust to your home and establish that calm, balanced, environment that you both desire.

Dogs are truly man’s best friend and my dogs have been mine since I was a child (until of course, I met Kelly, and we celebrated our marriage in the Summer of 2022!) I’m an avid outdoorsman and love hunting and fishing. I wholeheartedly believe that dogs should be cared for and trained with love and compassion. My journey with Bark Busters started when I was a client myself. Seeing the methods and results of this training inspired me to become a dog behavioral therapist as well. I started my career with dogs when I was 15 years old at a local kennel/daycare here in Maryland, along with being a local trusted pet sitter. Eventually, I moved to the retail side of pet care up until becoming a full time dog trainer and behavioral therapist with Bark Busters. My passion has always been helping others live happier lives which I was able to pursue for many years simultaneously in the medical field. Now, I get to follow that passion to helping you live a happier life with your dogs. I am so excited to get started working with you!
